In the Grains
A 6 in. x 6 in. copper plate etching with one layer of aquatint of 5 seconds on top of the initial 20 minute dip in the acid.
Into the Forest
The first etching done, wanting to emulate some of the old school etchings and carvings of those like Russian artist Ivan Bilibin.
The copper plate is 9 in. x 12 in. and was done in one 25 minute dip into acid with hard ground.
The far left is painted after the fact in watercolors to further try and emulate Bilibin’s work. More experimentation was done within the application of the inks and wiping process
